Why go solo?

Because, believe it or not, you will meet a lot more local people, than when you travel with others. I have often had local women approach me to offer assistance or to ask me a question. This has led to wonderful opportunities to learn more about the area I was travelling in, from the inside out.

Secondly, it will make you a more confident traveller. Once you have headed off somewhere by yourself and returned, you will have a better understanding of all the factors which go into putting a successful adventure together. You will be an asset to any travel group in the future because of your ability to respond positively to unexpected situations. You will be less dependent on your travelling companions, and more willing to head off on your own as the opportunity arises, to meet up again further along your common route.
